For the first time in over three years, the Raiders have only one team from the previous Super Bowl on their schedule. As a matter of fact, the Raiders only have four games against teams that made the playoffs last year, two of which are against the San Diego Chargers. Normally, I try to be skeptical ... [link]

Will Los Angeles Finally Get Its NFL Team Back? Here's Step One
Its pretty remarkable to consider that the NFL is the most dominant sports league in America, yet they haven't had a team in the nation's second largest media market since the Raiders moved to Oakland in 1995. Most professional sports leagues would crumble after losing a market this size. But the NFL has continued to thrive despite the loss. Well the NFL took a step closer to returning to ...
When Will The NFL Return?
Growing up in Los Angeles, I was spoiled with two NFL teams, the Rams and the Raiders. The Rams basically always stunk – you know, the Lambs? There’s a sign at a sports bar I once visited that reads: “Will the lady who left her eleven children at the Coliseum please come pick them up. They are beating the Rams 21-0.” That pretty much summed up their existence in Los Angeles. The owner took ...

San Diego is one of the best draft teams in the NFL and will chose very wisely here. One spot that ...

Jets A Fitting Name for a Team With New York's Schedule
The Jets open the 2008 season with an intriguing three game stretch. They start at the Dolphins in former coach Bill Parcells 's first game running that franchise and then come home for what's sure to be a game steeped in Spygate lore against the Patriots. The opening troika ends with a long trip to San Diego for a date with the Chargers. It should be a tough stretch for a team that will ...

Charger linebackers (and linemen) love their performance enhancers; Stephen Cooper repeats
Those pragmatic, optimistic, existential merrymakers down in San Diego have done it again.  This time the gang of frolicking Charger linebackers gulped down some ephedra, leading to a good time for all.  Except, starting inside linebacker Stephen Cooper overdid the good times, getting caught in a urine test. Cooper will serve a 4 game suspension to begin the 2008 NFL season; gee ...

Panthers 2008 Schedule Released
Here's the Panthers 2008 Game Schedule . At first blush that's a pretty tough first three games. Starting the season on the road at SD is not preferred. I like having the 'bye' week in the middle of the season and believe it or not we actually got a Monday Night game against the Bucs. That should be a good one. I think I see 10 wins in there. Anyone else? 1 Sept. 7 at San Diego Chargers ...
