A look at Jay Williamson, a golfer you may not know.Love, Leonard Back Atop the Leaderboard

Seeing Davis Love and Justin Leonard atop the leaderboard at the Verizon Heritage a week after Trevor Immelman had his coming-out party at The Masters seems almost symbolic of golf’s slow but inevitable changing of the guard. Both Love and Leonard were once very big names on the PGA Tour, perennial contenders at majors and each the owner of a single major title. But they’ve been ...Boo Weekley, Looking to Defend

Ahhh, Boo Weekley. The guy is what some would consider a "character" and others might consider "out of touch with anything that comes within miles of knowledge and reality." Boo won the Verizon Heritage last year and is playing well today, tied for the lead through 15 holes at eight-under. Nobody really cares how he plays, so why don't we get to who Boo really is. According to Wikipedia ...Men in Plaid

Davis Love is a plaid man. (Eddie Honeyfield/Flickr) This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Verizon Heritage played at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Arnold Palmer won the first one in 1969. Boo Weekley is the defending champion. The Plaid Jacket always follows the Green Jacket. The Green Jacket is the most coveted garment in golf, but as I scanned the ...Love Is In the Air

If it's Harbour Town time, it's Davis Love III time. Love, who has had a rather ... unsatisfactory ... past couple seasons, is tied for the lead after the first round of the Verizon Heritage today. And that's no surprise. Love has won at Harbour Town five times. Another way of looking at that: Love has 19 career wins; more than a quarter of them have come in this tournament. Sam Snead won the ...Hilton Head Starts Today, Hooray, Hooray

You know, it really is sad that the Verizon Heritage at Hilton Head is played the week after Augusta. It is one of the most beautiful venues the PGA Tour plays on one of the best golf courses with some of the best amenities players and wives receive all year. Boo Weekley won last year at Hilton Head, something I'm sure he wouldn't remember if you asked him. Boo, along with Ernie Els, ...The Snedeker Snickers Cocktail. Cheers.

Brandt Snedeker has put a tearful, memorable Masters behind him, and flown on down to Hilton Head to get ready for the Verizon Heritage Championship. The adorable golf guy with the cherubic looks, broke a few hearts when he cried into his towel on Sunday night. But he's over it... and said today the he now, feels "refreshed and excited" and ready for another competition. He definitely left ...Tour Outsider: Verizon Heritage
