    I think the most significant fact there is that the Royals were hitting .285 against lefties this year.  This fact will hopefully silence those who say a no-hitter against the Royals doesn't count. The Royals aren't that bad any more and the kid accomplished something incredible.

    I don't think that no-hitters happen against real good hitting teams like the Yankees and the Red Sox anyway, so you'd have to discount most no-hitters if you said teams like the Royals didn't count.  Lester deserves all the credit that every other no-hitting pitcher has been given.

    The Royals are terrible. Even with the .285 batting average, they still have difficulty scoring.  They're going to be a terrible team as long as the Glass family owns them. Siging Guillen ain't gonna cut it.
