ATL Journal-Constitution: Fan seriously injured by fall at Turner Field (RR) An Atlanta Braves fan has serious head injuries after falling from the stands at Turner Field, police said. The 25-year-old man, who wasn’t immediately identified, fell an estimated four levels inside the stadium to field level, striking concrete and metal railing, according to Atlanta Police spokesman Ron Campbell. The man was reported to have been sliding on a handrail in the bottom of the eighth inning when he slipped off. The fan is in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

It hasn't been a good year for fan safety at America's ballparks. Last night, a fan died at Atlanta's Turner Field last night after reportedly sliding along a railing and then falling four levels. The incident comes after a Mets fan died at Shea Stadium earlier this season and a Giants fan died after being punched outside AT&T Park earlier this month.
