The 49ers have signed rookie guard Chilo Rachal to a new contract. The rookie was the team's second overall pick. He switched over to tackle during OTAs and may see a lot of action in the regular season. [link]

Past Precedent Says Minnesota Vikings Will Be Punished For Tampering Accusations

Last year the 49ers were punished for tampering with Lance Briggs of the Chicago Bears even though the only evidence was a set of phone calls from the 49ers to Briggs' agent, Drew Rosenhaus.
