Alex Rodriguez did his best Derek Jeter impersonation Sunday with a flip play to help the Yankees beat the Oakland A's. Of course, Jeter's came in a playoff game while A-Rod helped seal an otherwise routine July triumph.

... we would have seen it over and over and over. Sunday, A-Rod’s heads-up play saved the day in the ninth inning of the Yankees’ 2-1 win over the Athletics. Bobby Abreu lost a fly ball in the sun, caught it and dropped it. Abreu then threw to second to try and force Ryan Sweeney. The throw went over Derek Jeter’s head, but a heads-up A-Rod was backing up the play and quickly flipped it to Jeter for the force. For some reason, the play didn’t make ...
