In a joint agreement between the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA and the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL, an announcement will be made today (Thursday) that the 2010 NBA All-Star Game will be played in the soon to be completed Cowboys Stadium (see computer renderings and details on the new Cowboys Stadium). Art Jr., Patrick, Timothy and John Rooney are selling their controlling stake in the Steelers to Dan Rooney, and his son, Art II. As reported by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the sale of the controlling stake could net the four brothers selling a total of $750 million after business debt is subtracted. The NFL has added a second instant replay referee to take notes on the lead-reviewer after last week’s botched call between the Chargers and Steelers. The play, in which Steelers safety Troy Polamalu picked up a fumbled ball and then steamed 12 yards for a touchdown. After reviewing the instant replay, referee Scott Green reversed the touchdown with time expired saying it was due to an illegal forward pass by the Chargers.
