Rolando McClain Makes His Heisman Case Today
The Big Lead —
Rolando McClain, an All-American linebacker for Alabama, wears the No. 25. It makes him look svelte. He does not appear to be 6-foot-4, 255-pounds, and we feel this is strictly due to him wearing 25 as opposed to a number in the 50s, like linebackers in the NFL.
McClain may deny he’s thinking about the NFL, but it is difficult to imagine him turning down the millions he’ll make as a first rounder. Mel Kiper has McClain as the best pro prospect in the junior class at inside linebacker; NFL GMs may have to decide between McClain and Florida’s Brandon Spikes next April.
