Just over a year ago, the Blue Jays signed center fielder Vernon Wells through 2014. Now, they are on the verge of locking up right fielder Alex Rios for at least that long — and possibly longer.

After a several days of bad news out of Jays camp, JP Ricciardi has evidently decided that enough is enough, and will soon make with some good news by announcing that he's finally signed Alex Rios to a long term deal. At least, that's what we're hearing according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, via MLB Trade Rumors.
