This wasn't supposed to work. Of course, on paper it looked good, but there was no way there were enough basketballs for three players with a combined 21 All-Star appearances. But somehow, the Celtics' talented trio of Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett found a way to make it work.
