Our friends at Pewter Report report that Bucs fullback Mike Alstott is expected to announce his retirement at a Thursday press conference. The move was expected. In fact, there was talk that Alstott would retire prior to the 2007 season. But the rumor was that ownership instructed coach Jon Gruden to put Alstott on injured reserve, so that he could collect his salary for one more season before calling it quits.
