Andrew Bogut: 'The Public's Image of NBA Players is True" - Sports Blog - The FanHouse Links2
Andrew Bogut is apparently not looking to make friends. There's a lengthy interview with the Milwaukee Bucks' big man in the Sydney Morning Herald , and in it Bogut sounds pretty critical of what he sees as the lifestyle of most of his fellow players. Here are some choice quotes form the article that leads with saying that Bogut remains a "modest all-Australian boy." "The public's image of NBA ... [link]

Earlier this summer Andrew Bogut voiced some criticisms pointed towards "80%" of the NBA Players and American Culture in general. The statements didn't get much coverage from major sports-media outlets, which was sort of surprising. Although Bogut was basically making the same flawed sweeping generalizations (complete with possible implied racism) that a lot of NBA-haters make, he is an NBA Player, so I expected at least a little publicity on this. Etan Thomas Is A Well Spoken Man

Yes, there was once a point in time when Etan Thomas didn't have the dreads. I'm as surprised as you. Remember a few weeks ago when Andrew Bogut went out of his way to threw basically the entire NBA under the bus in his interview with an Australian newspaper? Well, everyone's favorite poet Etan Thomas got a hold of it and wrote an entry about it over at SLAM...
