... First off, ask any Bills' fan what they think of Mularkey as a head coach. In fact, click this link to read a Buffalo fan's opinion of him. Enough said. And as far as offensive coordinator, the numbers don't lie. He wasn't successful as Miami's offensive coordinator. And he was a terrible play caller. Any good play caller knows to get the ball into the hands of the offense's best player. Cam Cameron did that in San Diego (Tomlinson), Sean Payton does that in New Orleans (Bush), and John Fox does that in Carolina (Steve Smith). Your job as an offensive coordinator is to be creative and get the ball to your playmakers. The Dolphins best offensive player is Ronnie Brown, but Mularkey chose to pass it over 60% of the time, relying on guys like Joey Harrington and Cleo Lemon. If that's not bad playcalling, I don't know what is. ...
