AS Roma test rule book with clever corner routine Links1
For the first time in a long while this weekend I had to consult my LOAF ( Laws of Association Football to those of you who were never a referee.) AS Roma were furious that the officials disallowed a quickly-taken corner during their 2-1 Serie A win over AC Milan . David Pizarro went over to the corner arc where he nudged the ball with his boot before oddly wandering away. Fellow Roma ... [link]

Roma take a crafty corner (but the officials don't like it)

Roma tried to take a very cheeky corner against AC Milan on Saturday. David Pizarro taps the ball with his foot as he places the ball and therefore takes the corner. Pizarro then pretends he doesn't fancy taking the corner anymore and jogs off into ...

AS Roma vs. AC Milan Preview - mCalcio Talks Tactics, De Rossi and Pirlo Talk Fun

It’s bound to be a very entertaining Serie A weekend: on Saturday Udinese vs. Lazio to whet our appetite, Roma vs. Milan for the main course, Juventus vs. Napoli on Sunday for dessert. The main action however will undoubtedly be on the field of the Stadio Olimpico of Rome, where a Scudetto-chasing Giallorossi will face a Champions League-hopeful Rossoneri. Waiting for Manchester United in April...

AS Roma 2-1 AC Milan - Video Highlights & Match Report - Three Minutes of Giallorossi Magic Sink the Best AC Milan of the Season (Serie A Matchday 28)

Despite playing inferiorly to their opponents for a large portion of the match, the Giallorossi took home the win. AC Milan put in their best performance of the season, went ahead first through Kaká, but were then forced to raise the white flag 10 minutes from the end. Striking through Giuly and Vucinic, a simple 3 minutes of Roma brilliance brought AC Milan down to their knees.

A Crafty Corner
We received a number of emails about this new corner routine used by Roma during their 2-1 win over AC Milan on Saturday night. What a shame that the officials didn’t spot that this was legitimate. Some great ingenuity by Roma.

Lazio 3-2 Roma: Biancolesti Win the Derby della Capitale, Roma Distanced 7 Points From Inter Milan
Ahh… Lazio-Roma . Traditionally called “Stracittadina” (or conventionally “Derby della Capitale”), these derbies are always full of excitement: Laziali and Romanisti go crazy for them, because on top of providing plenty of entertainment (to neutral watchers as well), Stadio Olimpico bragging rights for the entire season are at stake. Serie A Week-End Wrap-Up: AS Roma Defeat AC Milan to Stay Close to Inter, Juventus Clinch It At The Death (Serie A Matchday 28)
AS Roma were at a crossroads this week-end, as these are the matches that count. On one side: glory, respect, concrete evidence that faced with a tough opponent (like AC Milan ) the Giallorossi could step it up and bring home the victory, a victory which would keep this Scudetto race very much alive and put all the pressure on Inter for their match vs. Udinese on Sunday. On the other ...
Best of Serie A - Round 28
Just some quick video highlights of the best action from this round. I personally found the best match by far this week between Fiorentina and Genoa. Not that Genoa put up much of a fight but the Viola just played so well. It marked the return of Adrian Mutu and he wasted no time picking up where he left off. A brilliant assist for the first goal and an incredible power drive for the ...

Of course, as is the case with every time Inter picks up a ball these days, it ...
Roma 2 Milan 1, The Slide Continues
A game like the one today weighs extra heavy on me because it almost feels like a waste when it is all said it done. It is very important to quite frankly come out at say that Roma did by no means dominate the game today. Today was a pure example of coach past his time with a squad, and being outfoxed by a coach who is really on the rise and on the top of his game. (more…)

Kaka and Christian Panucci focus on the ball during today’s game at the Stadio Olimpico. Kaka opened the scoring for Milan with a fine left-footed second-half strike, but Roma came back late with goals from Ludovic Giuly and Mirko Vučinić. Kaka still belongs to Jesus, but the three points belong to Roma. (FILIPPO MONTEFORTE/AF/GETTY IMAGES)

Roma v Milan I think this could be the most by-the-wayside Roma - Milan game in history. Saturday Roma v Milan: Because it’s two of the biggest clubs in Europe fighting for two vastly different spoils, and not what you’d usually expect.
