The deal between the Raiders and cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha is nearly done. Per Jim Trotter of SI.com, the contract is in the hands of the NFL’s Management Council, which reviews every contract for approval. Trotter reports that Asomugha will receive $26 million in guaranteed money over the first two years of the deal, which approximates the money he’d receive under the franchise tag for this season and next.
