On May 5 the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala was held in New York. Not a big deal right, but as I watched all of the coverage on the news I was amazed at how many professional athletes were there. I get that Tom Brady showed up because his wife, Gisele Bundchen, is in fashion. Same goes for Becks but Steve Nash? Anyways it got me to look around at all the photos ... [link]

Dirk Nowitzki seemingly received the 2007 MVP in a broom closet at an undisclosed location after his Dallas Mavericks were bounced out of the first round of the playoffs. The 2005 and 2006 MVP, Steve Nash, just made Tony Parker look like the greatest point guard in the history of the NBA. Kobe Bryant received the 2008 MVP and then he clubbed the Jazz over their heads with it in game two.
