tribetimereport.blogspot.com 8/9/2008 — Paul Byrd pitched a complete game for the Cleveland Indians and the offense pestered Cy Young contender Roy Halladay into 10 hits, the biggest bug being Ryan Garko, who got the start for the first time after being benched for not running out a ground ball. Garko had two RBI and battled tough in all his at-bats against Doc and the Toronto Blue Jays.

He is unlikely to re-sign with the Brewers but his presence makes the Brew Crew pretty much on par with any team in the NL. Sure Mark Teixeira has a better chance with re-signing with the Angeles, but it is anything but a sure thing that he will be back or Anaheim will win it all.
