UCLA DC DeWayne Walker has been hired as the new head coach of the New Mexico State Aggies.
Walker inked a five-year contract worth $375,000 a year, which includes his base salary as well as other responsibilities such as radio show and television show appearances.
Walker replaces Hal Mumme, who was fired after a four year, 11-38 run in Las Cruces. Walker is the seventh African-American head coach in FBS football.
Now the rumors can really, really start about USC's Ken Norton replacing Walker at UCLA. ...
