Ballhype Bracketfest: NBA Season's Best Posterizations 3 vs 6 Links5

Wow wow wee wa, Monta Ellis still can't get going, as Ronnie Price totally owned him taking 81% of 210 votes (yay, people actually participate ... *tears*) Top seeds are clinging on yo. See 2v7 here and 1v8 here.

Today is another rough match, and I can't really decide. I mean, it goes down to the wire: the intensity of the dunk, the facial... even their unique cool names are competing! So, without further ado 3 v 6:

UPDATE: voting for this match ended, see next matchup

1) BDiddy on AK47 (ADVANCE)
2) Ronnie Price on Boozer (ADVANCE)
3) Renaldo Balkman on Devin Harris
4) LeBron on Rasheed
5) Flip Murray on Kirk Hinrich
6) Tyrus Thomas on Tyson Chandler Rasual Butler
7) Monta Ellis on Barbosa (OUT)
8) Trevor Ariza on Emeka Okafor (OUT)

Maybe they should call it a 'Balkman' whenever he does this...

Damn freaky long arms!

So voting for this match goes until Wednesday, so get votin'!

You got the seeds messed up man. That ain't even CLOSE. Tyrus gets the block and the payoff. Where's SML to come whine for the Knuckleheads...?

Hah, true, but technically we shouldn't be counting the block as part of the voting criteria (but it's hard to ignore I know...) the only reason why I have Balky in the higher seed is cuz I didn't even know he can dunk in the first place...

I have to admit being a Mavs fan, the Balkman dunk reminded me of Tim Thomas' dunk on Dirk in the playoffs (2 years ago?). Also, where is Matt Barnes dunk on Nowitzki from the playoffs? That was nasty and humilating as well.

It was a tough call for me, but I went with Thomas. Balkman's awkward dribble up to the dunk was a little off-putting.

Went with Ty. Pretty damn similar to his oft-repeated top college highlight.

That's probably the best sequence of the year from the NBA, (except for Rajon Rondo's dunk-steal-layup-and one in the preseason). I love how the play-by-play dude can't even muster words to describe it.

Devin Harris is a mighty good flopper/horrible defender

Man, this is a tougher matchup than you would think. I think Thomas' is more visceral because he did it at home, so you get the good crowd reaction. But Balkman's is definitely more humiliating.

Vote or Die!

Tyrus "I Don't Feel Like Doing the Dunk Contest" Thomas is currently leading Renaldo "Humpty" Balkman in the Ballhype Best Posterization bracketfest. Head over there and stack the vote for Humpty's nasty stuff on Devin Harris' face...or I'll cut you. I'm so serious.
