Soooo. What's up Ballhypers? Seen any good movies lately? Spiderman 3? What?! That's out already?? Where have I been! Um.. well, I guess we should get back to reviewing this week's best top stories... What's that? Pirates of the Carribbean is coming out too? AND Transformers??? Geez, will the NBA Playoffs end so I can catch these flicks! Sports, sheesh, so inconsiderate! -- Seemingly eons ago, but still happened this within this past week: B. Diddy's jam on AK 47. Ah, those Warriors, what fantasic joy ride. Thanks Dubs! Oh and Jason: P-I-C-T-U-R-E-S!!
-- Surely, the big NBA story, by a mile is obviously Paul Shirley's new book... er... No? Well, I guess it could be that whole "Robert Horry/Suns/Spurs/Amare/Diaw/David (I AM THE LAW!) Stern" clusterf@#% that NBA fans have been subjected to for the entire week.

tziller I think every blog has already referenced The Office season finale last night, but what the hell: Ryan's breakup with Kelly at the end was all sorts of hilarious. Also, Stanley and Kevin remain the funniest characters on the show. "The same as the ratio of unicorns to leprechauns." Oh my god. -
Brian I will maintain to my deathbed that the original BBC version of "The Office" is lightyears, nay, infinite lightyears better than the American one. I just can't get into it.
Steve Carrell is no Ricky Gervais.

tziller The Beeb's version is very good. But I've been fully satisfied by NBC's version. One of the only shows I can't miss. -
Jason I agree that Steve Carrell is no Ricky Gervais (although he's still pretty funny). But to me, NBC's "supporting cast" makes up for it--almost every one is consistently funny. The BBC show didn't have as much depth.-
tziller The young people from the show are going to end up being the next Hollywood clique, too: Halpert is turning a David Foster Wallace collection into a film and The Temp and Kelly are writing Office episodes. Very talented bunch.
Ed Helms is off the chart, too.

To me, it's apples and oranges for the BBC and NBC versions of The Office... I'm just glad they is *some* format of it still out there... on and y'all get minus 600 Stanley Coins for not staying on topic!
