Barkley says he will stop gambling
Charles Barkley said Monday he will stop gambling, at least for now, less than a week after acknowledging he owed a $400,000 debt to a Las Vegas Strip casino. "I like to go into Vegas, it's a fun place, but you know what, I've got to stop gambling. That's the bottom line," Barkley said during TNT's pregame show before Game 7 between San Antonio and New Orleans. "I am not going to gamble anymore. For right now, the next year or two, I'm not going to gamble.

Barkley On Gambling And The S.O.B.s Out To Get HimAwfulAnnouncing
Charles Barkley was on Dan Patrick's show today and had some interesting comments on the gambling issue and his critics.... I'm not sure Barkley knows this, but most people really like him. I know that Chuck likes to be public, but the sooner he stops talking about this the ...

It was admirable that TNT would devote several minutes of its NBA pregame show Monday night to dealing head-on with the continuing saga of commentator Charles Barkley's public gambling problem. By now I'm sure you've heard about Charles Barkley and the $400,000 he owes the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas. Apparently the folks at TNT thought it was such a big deal that they made Charles do this sit down with Ernie Johnson before last night's game seven. For some reason I just don't believe Charles when he says he's not going to gamble anymore. Maybe it's the fact that a few seconds later
