EricLip@DugoutCentral I have to disagree with Dave on this one. I think even if Tim Lincecum and you would also to have to throw in Cliff Lee had better statistical years than CC Sabathia, but both pitchers were on losing teams that were way out of contention. Sabathia was certainly not great in Cleveland this season, but when he was dealt he literally put the Brewers on his back and carried them into the postseason. Sabathia was dominant in every way once he arrived in Wisconsin and although it wasn't the entire season what he accomplished certainly makes him qualified to be Baseball America's Player Of The Year.
