This Guy Is Officially Awesome
Published 4/21/2008 at FanIQ Blog
... but you get my point. And rather than nail him for wasting his time, I'd like to salute him for being the most awesome guy in the history of the world. Bugs and Cranks says that the guy is a 35-year-old father of two, which means he's obviously spending his time well. Anyway, first up is the Cardinals, with the Willie McGee swing being absolutely priceless. If you dig around YouTube some more, he also has some other gems. Shanoff's Wake-Up Call: Kobe, Webb, More

... , who is having a break-out season as the latest online-sports sensation. (Here is his must-see YouTube channel .) The Last Word: "American Idol" has restored my faith in humanity. I was sure that teen song-bot David Archuleta would beat out my man (and avid KC Royals fan) David Cook for the title. Instead, Cook ran away with a rout, affirming his place -- in my opinion -- as the most talented Idol contestant of all time (and the greatest competitive success to happen for the Royals since 1985). Meanwhile, my only complaint was that because the show ran long, my DVR cut ...

Tigers batting stances through history: The best thing you'll see all day!
Published 5/22/2008 by Big Al (noreply@blogger.com) at The Wayne Fontes Experience
Meet You Tube's Batting Stance Guy. His channel is nothing but batting stances. Seriously. Here's his take on Detroit Tigers past and present... He does damn well, I have to admit I giggled through the whole thing. Batting Stance Guy has it all down, from Placido Ploanco's flipping the bat back and forth to Sweet Lou Whitaker's flexing his back before stepping into the box. I have only one issue. Johnny B. Wockenfuss' stance was not nearly closed enough! Just another reason why the internet is a wonderful ...

Whitey Was a Prophet: McCarver's Outstayed his Usefulness

I personally loath Tim McCarver more than any other personality broadcasting today. While Joe Morgan and others garner a lot of guff, McCarver, more than any other announcer, has continually irked me for years . When Fox aired the clip of McCarver and Richie Ashburn broadcasting the 1980 NLCS, I couldn't help but snicker at Whitey's not-so-subtle jab at McCarver.

JoeChat, BillType

Remember This, Marty Brennaman?

Does Marty have a faulty memory, is he a hypocrite, or both? Because it turns out that Reds fans have a sordid past--one much worse than what Cubs fans did the other night.
