Yeah I said it. Even though the bias
mainstream sports media won't. Hines Ward is a dirty
player. He is a headhunter who likes to think he is tough because he can block someone when they aren't looking. That really makes him a tough guy. He cries about getting fined when he is doing ...

Next up: the Giants. While it's still a huge game, it doesn't seem quite so intimidating as it did when the schedule came out. Or, frankly, after watching New York the last two weeks. Oh, and this couldn't have been cleaner if Hines had laid out Keith Rivers while looking like this. And I fully expect Commissar Goodell to fine Ward for it. You know, because the pansification of the game is what the NFL is ultimately going for.

There’s been a lot of focus this year on violence in the NFL — hard hits, horrific injuries, past players looking for ways to prevent future concussions, bounties on players, new rules that may or may not be “pansying up” the game, and so on.
It’s all quite absurd, really. Those who prattle on about the violence of the gridiron game seem to forget that it is violence. It’s a brutal tactical war game that requires players to collide into each other at the fastest possible speed to ...
