Mark Curnutte of the Cincinnati Enquirer , without directly or indirectly acknowledging that he was scooped by (God forbid) a blogger, confirms that the Bengals will release linebacker Odell Thurman on Monday. Curnutte, citing one of Thurman’s representatives, also repeats the contention that Thurman is being released for missing voluntary workouts after the death of his grandmother. It’s unclear whether Curnutte tried (as we did) to get a response from the Bengals. If Curnutte did, he didn’t mention the effort, or the outcome. Holy crap . . . are bloggers close to becoming ...
