Big, fast Bruins too much for Islanders
BOSTON - The third-period meltdown is fast becoming an Islanders trademark this season, but the one they experienced Friday at TD Banknorth Garden was different from the five others that preceded it. For one thing, there was no lead to blow. In this case, the Isles were hanging in a one-goal game by their fingernails and simply got steamrolled by a much bigger, much better Boston team.
