By Chris Mottram Billy Buckner has exorcised the demons. He threw out the first pitch at Boston's home opener yesterday afternoon, and afterwards he turned on the waterworks. Over 20 years later, I'd say what happened in October of '86, and the aftermath, still haunts him just a little bit: Next up: Chicago allowing Steve Bartman to come out of hiding and throw out a first pitch. Of course, they'd have to win a World Series first before forgiving Bartman. At least, that's what it seemed to take for Boston to let Buckner off the hook.
