 Billups: Game 2 not a must-win | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press Links7
While the Pistons might have lost their shooting touch and offensive rhythm in the latter part of the Game 1 loss to Philadelphia, their egos remain in tact. How else to interpret Chauncey Billups' declaration that tonight's Game 2 at the Palace isn't necessarily a must-win game for the Pistons? "I hope that this doesn't happen, but if we were down 0-2, I still feel like we'd win the series," ... [link]

Round 1 / Game 2
Published 4/23/2008 by pistonsnation at PistonsNationBlog.com
The Pistons and 76ers resume their best of seven first round playoff series tonight at the Palace of Auburn Hills with the 76ers ahead one game to zero. The game tips at 7:30 and can be viewed locally on TV20 Detroit. We should see a different Pistons’ team tonight. They’ve backed themselves into a wall the way they like to be, now let’s see them use it. Chauncey isn’t saying this game is must win and no, technically it’s not. They can’t be eliminated after two games but it would give the Sixers that much more confidence and incentive to keep their foot on the ...

Pistons Wobbly
Published 4/23/2008 by Roland Laird at NJ.com: Sixers Shots
Chauncey Billups says game two is NOT a must win for the Detroit Pistons. Flip Saunders is defending Rasheed Wallace for being a prankster in the final moments of game one. What's the deal? If my team was down 0-1 at home, I certainly would have a sense of urgency, and would care less about what some sportscaster was saying about my players. It goes without saying that the Pistons should win this series hands down, but right now, if I didn't know better, I'd say they were the ones with the crisis of confidence, and the Sixers look like the seasoned veterans.
