Blogger claims Yost to be fired Links13
Boston - Somebody named the "Badger Blogger," who I am told does mainly political postings (I must admit I'm not familiar with the site) posted a blog late Sunday night claiming manager Ned Yost will be relieved of his duties on the team's off day in Pittsburgh today. The blog said it could not "independently confirm" the information but said sources close to the ... [link]

Blogger 'Breaks' Firing of Ned Yost
Published 5/19/2008 by Eamonn Brennan at FanHouse
... The Journal-Sentinel's Brewers Blog is wary of the post, but passes it along anyway. Tom Haudricourt believes Dale Sveum would replace Yost, and not Ted Simmons, as Sveum has been with the club longer and it is unknown whether Simmons would even want to manage. So, you know, maybe Yost will get canned today. Maybe not. It's anybody's guess, literally. ...

Blogger: Brewers manager to be fired after Sox sweep

... , the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Brewers Blog is skeptical , giving us an immediate dama-fest if there ever was one. A few questions: -- If BadgerBlogger is wrong, how much does it feed in to the premise that we bloggers are a bunch of gossipy, insufferable fanboys? -- When should other media outlets -- and mainstream media, in particular -- pick up something like this? Already, ...

Irresponsible Blogger Claims That Yost Will Be Fired Today
Published 5/19/2008 by noreply@blogger.com (Craig Calcaterra) at ShysterBall
A blogger of all people is claiming that Ned Yost will be fired as Brewers' manager today. If he's right, score one for inside dirt from anonymous tipsters. If he's wrong, cue the Bissinger/Wilbon/Chass/etc. chorus for their latest version of the Irresponsible Blogger Cantata. My view on this kind of stuff is that bloggers should feel free to break all the news they want, but they need to be held every bit as accountable as a paid reporter is when they screw up. So, good luck Badger Blogger! For what it's worth, I'd probably can Yost too. This is a team that ...

Boston’s Jon Lester has held the Royals hitless through 7 1/3 innings, and with the exception of a walk to Billy Butler, Lester’s perfect on the night. In the event Lester takes his bid for a no-no into the 9th, I’ll be coming over to your house and changing the channel. To “The Bachelorette”. But hey, I don't really have a problem with Badger Blogger, content notwithstanding.  It doesn't have to be abcnews.com if it doesn't want to be.  What disappointed me was the Journal Sentinel coverage of this breaking non-story. The Journal Sentinel Blogs Early this morning, Tom Haudricourt "broke" the Badger Blogger story, admittedly half-heartedly. Boston - ...

... So, a quick recap of yesterday's events: Sometime overnight Sunday, a blogger with no cited sources and very small traffic said Ned Yost would be fired. This news was met with much rejoicing but backed with no actual evidence. Given that, Tom H. went ahead and posted an unsubstantiated rumor, again, to much rejoicing. Of course, it later turned out the rumor was false. Tom has taken this opportunity to ...
