The news is good on Ray Allen. The pinched nerve issues in his neck have evidently subsided, and the guard now has feeling back in his right fingers. According to Doc Rivers, Allen would play tonight if this were a playoff game. But caution will rule the day. Charlotte 95, Boston 83 This wasn't really the shocker that initial instinct would have you believe, the Boston Celtics were without Ray Allen and without their games, really. The Mavs shot the lights out Wednesday night, making 57% of the shots they attempted. The Pistons have now lost two straight after falling to the Celtics Saturday night. The only plus-side of the night was seeing the Celtics lose to the Bobcats in Boston.

I surely didn’t see that coming. We just get so accustomed with the Celtics winning every game that we get shocked when they finally lose one. The C’s couldn’t win that elusive 10th game in a row, falling to the Bobcats 95-83 at TD Banknorth Garden in their worst effort of the season. Playing without Ray Allen and Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis, the C’s lost their fourth game of the season.
