Thought you’d seen the last of Julian Tavarez?  Not so fast… While you most likely have, Tavarez accepted his option for assignment to AAA Pawtucket and as noted in the Boston Herald Clubhouse Insider blog he most likely took the assignment to give the Red Sox a few extra days to work out a deal with either Milwaukee or Colorado. Source:  Boston Herald Julian Tavarez has accepted an outright assignment to Pawtucket after clearing waivers but don’t look for the veteran pitcher to remain there long. It appears that Tavarez only did so to allow the Sox some added time to complete a trade that will land him back in the big leagues sometime in the next few days.  The Rockies and Brewers have expresed interested in the right-hander.
