Bob Knight Officially Sells Out, Does A Commercial With A Talking Car
Bob Knight Officially Sells Out, Does A Commercial With A Talking Car
I'm all for people making as much money anyway they can, but this is a little ridiculous. This is a new Volvo commercial in which ESPN Analyst Bob Knight talks to an old VW Bug about Championships and decides to throw an oversized IKEA-like chair.... Dumb...just dumb. I did a little bit more research and I think the Bug's name is Max and he's going to be talking about cars with more ...

Don King makes me hate Crocs even more
Guyism » celebs — ... I hate, I have to share it with you. Misery loves company you know. Two questions immediately come to mind: 1) Why would Crocs want Don King for a spokesman? Can you just imagine him running around in those plastic pieces of shit? and 2) Why is Don King hawking them? Never mind, answered my own question... they paid him. First, NASCAR was invaded by these things , and now boxing... ugh. ( Sorry, Tim Tebow. Don't hurt me.) So what's worse, Don King for Crocs or Bobby Knight selling cars ?

Bob Knight sells out, but is it funny?
The Postmen // A Sports Blog // Chicago, IL.AA has the commercial, of course, and the question is worth asking: Funny? Or not funny? I genuinely can’t decide. The look Knight gives: funny. The chair throwing nonsense: not funny. Talking car? Funny. Quasi-German accent? Not funny. SO TORN. (Also, big hat tip to my girlfriend, who apparently also reads AA now, and with greater efficiency than I. I have no idea what is going on.)

Bob Knight Proves He Can Still Throw Chairs
The Sporting Blog — ... Like, at all: Between this and that GAWD AWFUL car alarm commercial , VW's advertising has really taken a turn for the worse. They need to go back to taking whatever it was that made them think up the " unpimp the auto " spots. Those made me proud to be a GTI owner. If nothing else, however, at least this commercial proves that Knight does indeed still own sweaters that don't have "ESPN" stitched into them . Bobby Knight Would Like You to Consider Buying a German Automobile
FanHouse — ... buy an American car? Knight's no stranger to endorsements, of course, as his increasingly NASCARish sweaters at Texas Tech made quite clear. Nor is he actually a stranger to the world of television commercials. After the jump, check out a vintage ad from the General. Now that's a fun ad. Makes me want to grab some Minute Maid and have a laugh with Bobby Knight, which aren't two things I'm normally feeling. (H/T Awful Announcing for the VW clip)   Permalink | Email ...

Bob Knight's Volkswagen Commercial Is Stupid
FanHouse — ... I have to say, it sucks, and it's a little embarrassing to watch Knight making a fool of himself like that. Awful Announcing says, "I'm all for people making as much money anyway they can, but this is a little ridiculous." And ...
