Though it's incredibly early to evaluate the non-deal for Johan Santana, Filip Bondy puts Brian Cashman on Hank Steinbrenner 's hot seat. In three or four years, when the Mets are paying Johan over $20 million per season to pitch like Barry Zito, and Phil Hughes and Ian Kennedy are (hopefully) pitching the Yanks to a division championship for a combined salary less than Johan's, then and only then can the non-deal be truly evaluated.
