Last year only one player with at least 200 at bats hit under .200.
Ryan Langerhans hit .167 in 210 ABs for three teams. Oakland had seen enough after four at-bats.
He'd fit right in with some of fantasy's finest this year. Sure it's early. Hitters heat up. Cooking times may vary. But it sure looks like an unprecedented number of elite players are toiling under the Mendoza line. Well under it in some cases.
It's as if .180 is the new .200.
Based on average-draft position (ADP), it's not unreasonable to assume that many owners sitting at the end of a 12-team draft went Howard-Soriano with their top two picks. Heck, there might be a few ...
