Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett, who was named the NBA Defensive Player of the Year, has been named to the All-Defensive team. Garnett had 24 first place votes out of 30. NBA MVP Kobe Bryant of Los Angeles also had 24 first place votes, as coaches were not able to vote for their own players.
