So, the Red Sox went to Washington today to meet with President Bush. Personal politics aside, this is pretty sweet, even if it's just for the photo galleries . (Beckett as President? While the Red Sox were up in Washington, D.C. rubbing elbows with some politicians, the equipment managers were busy moving the big league gear from the player development complex over to City of Palms Park. The reason why is that the Red Sox will finally start playing some games as they will play a split-squad doubleheader against Boston College and Northeastern.
