The Boston Red Sox continued their recent dominance of National League teams this weekend when they swept the Milwaukee Brewers in a 3-game set. It wasn’t pretty the past two days though but still the three wins in 2 days vaulted them back into first place. Last night, the Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers combined for 7 errors. Today, they combined for 8 home runs but in the end it was the Red Sox who won the battle 11-7 to complete a sweep of the Brewers in front of 37,204 at Fenway Park. With the Rays losing to the Cardinals today, the Red Sox moved back into first place by themselves.
