Worst Loss Of The Year

... Yikes. I don't know how cogent I am right now, but let me at least start trying to make sense of what just happened. Basically, the Hawks have made this a series - which seemed incomprehensible to me until the fourth quarter actually unfolded tonight. So while much can be said, the simple fact is that Atlanta-Boston actually has gravitas now - which should be a scary thought for Celtics fans. ...

... Second, I know, I know... but 4 games in, we have to get some credit where some credit is due. Besides, we'll be looking ahead to Boston (or Atlanta - what a game tonight!) soon, so let's keep our eyes on this series while we can. See, I'm doing the opposite of getting ahead of myself. You just have to think it through. ...

We now return to your regularly scheduled broadcast.

NBA Playoff Triple Threat: Could Atlanta Actually Pull Off The Upset?
Published 4/29/2008 at FanIQ Blog
... Atlanta 97 Boston 92 The Atlanta Hawks evened up there series at 2 games apiece with the victory over the Boston Celtics tonight. There is definitely one sentence I never thought that I would type. The Hawks used a 20 point 4th quarter from Joe Johnson to pull away from the Celtics and out score them that 4th quarter by 15 points. Johnson finished the game with 35 points and Josh Smith added 28. So the series heads back to Boston and the Hawks might actually believe that they can do this. Could the youngest team in the playoffs ...

Seriously, Boston...The Hawks?

... that suckitude. LA sweeps Denver, San Antonio has dominated Phoenix, and the Hornets are crushing the no-heart Mavs. And those were expected to be the good series But just like last year's first round, when Golden State took down top-seed Dallas, there's a lone interesting series going on in the first round... and it happens to be the one that everybody thought would be a complete walkover. The 66-16 Celtics have somehow allowed the Atlanta Hawks -- the 37-45 Hawks -- back into this series. I still don't think there a chance in hell that the Celtics will ...
