Once the deluge ended at CitiField, baseball was played. From the Yankees' standpoint, it sure was a good game as they defeated the Mets, 9-1 . It sounds strange to say this, but frankly the game wasn't even that close. Carsten Charles Sabathia, that's 'CC' to you, pitched another gem, going 7 innings (99 pitches) with 8 K's and only giving up 3 hits and 1 run. Except for the 5th inning, CC basically pitched a perfect game in his other 6 innings.
