Yankees win 5-1 Some notes about this game. Jeter has been on fire. He’s really turned it around. This might be the first year he doesn’t get 200 hits in a season since 2004 but he has 28 hits in August and the most hits he’s had in a month this season has been 33 and that came in June. The Yankees have 10 games left in the month of August so it looks like he’ll pass 33 hits. Pettitte looked very good but the Blue Jays don’t score many runs.
