New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs, who was in line to be the every-down heir to Tiki Barber and quietly had a solid season despite injuries, has acknowledged that he underwent offseason wrist surgery. Per the New York Daily News , Jacobs recently showed up at Madison Square Garden with his arm in a cast and sling. He said that doctors “ just cleaned some stuff out ,” and that he’ll “definitely” be ready for training camp. Jacobs rushed for 1,002 yards in 2007, in only 11 games and only nine starts.
