Nate Silver, responding to a Rick Morrissey article, offers PECOTA’s performance since 2003. The average error on the Pads is 5 and overall it’s like 5.6, so they are a rather normal team, according to PECOTA (i.e., they aren’t too easy or difficult to predict, by this simple average error method, of course).
