There is an eerie silence that lingers over a ballpark when there’s a serious injury or collision occurs. I, unfortunately, know this quiet all too well. I’ve experienced it twice in three months. I was at both games when Ryan Church suffered a concussion (March 1 in Port St. Lucie vs. Dodgers and May 20 in Atlanta vs. Braves).
