Brawl Sports: UFC belt sticks with Sherk Links9
The Dana White comparisons to Vince McMahon just took on a little more validity. I realize that it must be tough to suspend a champ but it is what should have been done. Plus the levels he tested it at were through the roof. I agree with you on your Huerta-Guida pick. I love Huerta's story but every guy he fought was having their first UFC fight. What a coincidence. And Still Your UFC Lightweight Champion…Sean Sherk!!!
Published 12/7/2007 by MMA Movement at MMA MOVEMENT
That’s right Sean Sherk will not be stripped of his title and will remain the UFC Lightweight Champion. The Houston Chronicle’s Steve Sievert is reporting that UFC has decided to allow Sean Sherk to retain his title despite of having his suspension being upheld by the California State Athletic Commission. Shame on the UFC If this report turns out to be true, the UFC should be ashamed of themselves. The UFC is supposed to be the premier mixed martial arts organization in the world. They are supposed to set an example for all other MMA organizations to follow. Like it or not, ...

"The UFC has yet to comment"
Published 12/7/2007 by Greg Clark at MMA Fever - Are you down with the sickness?
"The UFC has yet to comment and when asked about the situation late today, the UFC confirmed that Sherk remains the promotion's 155-lb. titleholder." What the fuck does that mean? Is it a contradictory sentence or is Sievert trying to tell us without any confirmed sources mind you that "The UFC" confirmed later in the day when earlier in the day "The UFC" had yet to comment. Who the fuck is this person Sievert calls "The UFC"? Sounds like a reporter's troll job to me given the fact that there aren't any "confirmed ...

Sean Sherk Keeps His UFC Lightweight Belt
Published 12/7/2007 by admin at MMA Fight Girls Wallpaper
... It was announced today by Yahoo Sports that Sean Sherk will keep his UFC lightweight title.  According to the short story, today “the UFC confirmed that Sherk remains the promotion’s 155-lb. titleholder.” So I guess this makes the Joe Stevenson / BJ Penn Interim title a worthless tag?  Hopefully the winner of the BJ vs Joe fight will get a title shot against Sean. ...

Sherk probably won’t stay champion
Published 12/7/2007 by fightlinker at Fightlinker.com
Sherk probably won’t stay champion December 7, 2007 at 3:50 pm by fightlinker Everyone is having a hissy fit over the Sherk lightweight belt situation because Steve Sievert was a shitty journalist and jumped the gun regarding the story. Here’s what he wrote : The UFC’s lightweight belt continues to reside with Sean Sherk. In light of Sherk’s suspension for a positive steroid test being upheld, but reduced this week by California State Athletic Commission, several readers have inquired about Sherk’s championship status. The UFC has yet to comment and when asked about the ...
