The Nats broke a three-game skid with a win over Atlanta , putting them six games ahead of the 0-21 ‘88 Orioles after 21 games, which is all one can hope for when one’s 3-4-5 hitters hit .225, .222 and .213, respectively. ... no idea how the fine people of Washington did it, but it appears that the right foot of former Bullets center and cologne salesman Gheorghe Muresan has been salvaged and somehow attached to the right arm of Nats reliever and fellow skyscraper Jon Rauch. Forget Dmitri Young, Rauch's claw puts Da Meat Hook to shame. Also, to paraphrase Tiny Elvis, "Hey boys, take a look at that bear claw! Man, that thing is huugggge." (Thanks, boss!)
