...   Fletcher would then run sideline to sideline and tackle ballcarriers, with help from aggressive corners.  The scheme was simple: 1)  have one more guy than the defense can block defend the run, and 2) make sure that one guy is one of the surest tacklers in the NFL. The Redskins’ run defense was very flawed when teams got to Fletcher.  The only way teams could get blockers on Fletcher was to do exactly what the Pats did, block him with a receiver.  Dillweed, of postgameheroes.com, does an excellent job of diagraming exactly how teams ran on the Redskins this season. ...
