... when I wrote about the three worst things that could happen to this team, injury-wise? Well, as of tonight, 2 of the 3 have happened. The Yanks placed A-Rod on the 15-day disabled list, which means we get to see Morgan Ensberg, his nonexistent throwing arm and his super-slow bat on a daily basis for the next week. Filed under: New York, Yankees, AL East, MLB InjuriesThe Yankees are treading water in the AL East, sitting in fourth place with a .500 record. They're only two games out of first place, but their quest to catch up to the Red Sox became a bit more difficult today following the news that Alex Rodriguez's strained quad was serious enough to require a trip to the 15-day disabled list. For the Yankees, bad luck is nothing new: Jorge Posada's shoulder recently put him on the DL for the first time in his career, and ...

... series against the Cleveland Indians. In the eighth inning of Monday night's loss, he was replaced by a pinch-hitter after feeling a "pull" while running the base paths. "It’s painful to see that lineup without me in the cleanup spot and helping my team win every day," Rodriguez said.Modest, too! But, the Yanks have bigger issues to worry about, like Johnny Damon impersonating an outfielder. [MLB.com] | [The Lo Hud Yankees Blog] | [Blogging the Bombers]
