This is a somewhat stunning announcement because it gives the Brewers a whopping 14 pitchers on their 25-man roster, which might be a major league record. Obviously, they can’t keep that number for long without causing serious roster imbalance problems. Is 14 pitchers a record (outside the expanded rosters)?

Gallardo dominates but Gagne blows the victory

Gallardo faced the Reds on Sunday and went seven innings and struck out four batters while only giving up four hits including a solo home run to Edwin Encarnacion which was the only run Gallardo allowed all day. Gallardo looked solid all day.
