thewheeze1975 Joe Montana could be the QB for the Browns and it wouldn't matter because how good could he be if his line can't keep him off his back?? I hope Charlie goes to Seattle and does well. Maybe with a decent line he can do what he does best.

Seahawks Swap Bryce Fisher for Undisclosed Draft Pick

... September 10th: The resulting opening allows Seattle to trade a draft pick for Charlie Frye. Frye is an accurate pocket passer who fits Mike Holmgren's system. He has a very weak arm and limited upside, but with the right coaching could become a Trent Dilfer or Tim Rattay-like backup. Net Loss = Draft Pick. Net Gain = Potentially competent second string quarterback. ...
Charlie Frye: Traded to Seattle

... Today, the Browns traded Charlie Frye to the Seattle Seahawks for a 6th round draft pick. Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer makes the point this move will allow Seneca Wallace to play more receiver; which may be the case although I’m not so sure I expect Wallace to give up his QB2 role so easily. From what we’ve seen of Wallace, he’s a better QB than Frye; and at a minimum it will take Frye some time to learn Mike Holmgren’s complicated offense. ...

Quinn may start Sunday
Published 9/11/2007 by Tom at The NFL Minute
... Though head coach Romeo Crennel is keeping mum on the Browns’ (0-1) quarterback situation, there’s a good chance rookie Brady Quinn will start Sunday. After some news of a trade that sent Charlie Frye to the Seahawks, Quinn immediately gets bumped up the roster to at least number two. Whether Crennel will choose to start Derek Anderson instead remains to be seen. Both Anderson and Frye were the two preseason contenders, but after some good showings from Quinn and a miserable performance from Anderson, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen. ...
