Bulls, Lakers Talking Kobe Trade
Trade talks between the Lakers and Bulls around Kobe Bryant are very serious - and the two teams have been discussing a player package to be sent in exchange for Kobe that wouldn't wipe out Chicago's talent base.

The Lakers are asking for a package built around Luol Deng, Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah, ...

Why stop there?  Might as well ask for the White Sox too, while they're at it.

The sticking point of the trade is the number of deep dish pizzas involved.  The Bulls are hesitant to give up more than 15 but L.A. is demanding at least 20.

Haha just as I write this about the Bulls in my Eastern Conference preview:

The most overrated team in the league. They didn't pull the trigger on a Pau Gasol trade last season and paid dearly in the Semifinals (though I give them a ton of credit for knocking out the banged up Heat). They won't pull the trigger on a Kobe Bryant trade this season and they'll pay dearly.

Paying dearly for an overrated guard isn't a hot plan either.

Kobe Alert Level: Now Elevated
FanHouse — Filed under: Bulls, Lakers, NBA Rumors, Chicago, Los Angeles, Featured StoriesOver at ESPN.com, Chris Sheridan writes that the Lakers and Bulls are talking daily in efforts to get Kobe Bryant to Chicago. Phil Thinks Kobe Could Play Harder
SLAM Online — I’m not sure exactly which page in the Zen Guide to Coaching Winning Basketball manual Phil Jackson found this motivational nugget on, but he called out Kobe Bryant and basically accused him of walking through training camp looking like someone who’s about to overdose on Paxil.
